ayun sa aking pananaliksik..

sila daw ay nakakatulong sa ating ecesystem.
Well it turns out the parasites do play an important role in our vast ecology. They are part of the global food web – 'the circle of life'.
-- Actually roaches provide a huge source of food for predator insects such as scorpions, spiders, crickets (some species are very carnivorous), centipedes, praying mantises, and other carnivorous insects. In additon, some animals prey on roaches such as lizards, birds, and birds. So, they fill a gap in providing a ready food source for a variety of animals and insects. As far as a helpful role in the ecosystem (other than being prey). They do not provide any helpful benefits. Roaches are scavengers and scavenge on rotting and filthy sources of vegetation and decaying meat. Because of this, they can also be plague carriers of various diseases. Which goes to show you how helpful they are to society.
Cockroaches eat just about anything. Being omnivore scavengers, they decompose and recycle the organic litter left behind by larger animals. The other big bonus is that cockroaches do not care about what they eat. Possessing a wide variety of bacteria and protozoa in their digestive system, they can eat everything!
This is one of the main reasons as to why cockroaches have survived for such a long period of time – 300 million years to be exact. Cockroaches declined in number as the earth’s climate changed periodically, but they are currently thriving due to human impact. The little scavengers live for two things – heat, and a decent feed (both of which we have in abundance). Humans have re-created the Utopia for cockroaches. Our homes are kept warm all year round, and we leave food lying all over the place. To top things off, there are plenty of places to hide for the cockroach – under the stove, in the dishwasher, behind the toaster – the list is endless.
Funnily enough, most cockroaches aren’t pests. There are almost 3,500 species of cockroach in the world, and only 10 are on the World Health Organisation list of human pests. The majority of the cockroaches do not care about humans and their houses – choosing instead to recycle the waste products that are left outside. They also serve as food to small mammals, birds, amphibians and lizards.
(anu daw yun???! english! nose bleed! haha..basta yun na..haha.. may naitutulong naman pala sila.. mabuti nman)

The favourite food of the cockroach is actually the glue on envelopes, the glue bindings at the backs of books and the glue on the back of postage stamps. (ayy..gara..haha.. ayaw nila ng fried chicken?? gusto nila glue lang na tig sa-sampung piso.. potek!)Cockroach can live for up to a month, without its head. (woah! grabe! sodapat pala pagpapatayin ko yung ipis yung tipong durog durog at lagas lagas ang katawan niya parahindi na talaga mabuhay..*sama ko ehh nu*)
Some female cockroaches mate once and are pregnant for the rest of their lives. (haha.. ayaw naman nilang mabuntis niyan.. )
Ever wondered what the supposed purpose of having cockroaches on the planet at all is? Well try this handy example of a coackroaches supposed usefulness:
Crushed cockroaches can be applied to a stinging wound to help relieve the pain. (ahh okay)

(ganyan ang itsura ng ipis pag namatay! haha)
so ayann.. yan ang mga nakuha ko sa aking pananliksik (daw! eh puro copy paste lang toh..haha)

Without the roach, there would be no reason for grown men to jump up on chairs and scream like little girls. (yeah ryt!)
